Our
Story
Founded in 2015, the Beevo Beekeeping Society partnered with local beekeeper Brandon Fehrenkamp to bring honey bees to The University of Texas at Austin. From hosting student hive checks in our top-bars and langstroths to tending to our native pollinator garden, we are dedicated to spreading awareness of the beauty and importance of pollinators. Along with this mission comes a passion for sustainability and environmentalism. We advocate for pollinators in and around our community and on social media, raising awareness about threats to their existence and ways to keep them safe. Within the UT community, we host events to promote sustainable practices like waste-free potlucks, beeswax saran wrap parties, and seminars with researchers and business owners.
Our Directors
Our organization is made up of a team of dedicated students with a passion for pollinator conservation and sustainability.
